SIU investigating after Niagara police officer seriously injured in domestic dispute call

The Ontario Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is investigating after a Niagara region police officer was seriously injured during a domestic dispute investigation in Fort Erie. The officer was injured during an incident with the suspect, resulting in serious injuries for the officer. Both the officer and the suspect are in stable condition at separate hospitals, with the SIU now involved in the case due to the officer’s injuries.
