The former Baring Square West administration building and land in Ashburton was sold by the Council to Havelock Development Limited for $2.3 million. The sale included a three-storey building and 5059 square metres of land, with settlement occurring earlier than expected. The former council chamber was sold separately to the Mid Canterbury Rugby Union, while the former staff room was bought by Talley’s and both buildings have been relocated to new sites.
