'Midnight Smashers' seen ripping ATMs out of small businesses in brazen crime spree on video

A group of thieves in New York City has been targeting small businesses, stealing ATMs by yanking them out with vans or carrying them out by hand, with at least 49 businesses hit so far. The United Bodegas of America is offering a $5,000 reward for information on the suspects, critiquing the NYPD’s new pursuit policy for limiting chases to violent crimes. Business owners are concerned about the rise in crime and see the policy as a step backward in holding criminals accountable.
