Humanitarians assist families impacted by recent airstrike in Deir Al-Balah

Personnel from OCHA and UNMAS assessed Yaffa and Al Somud makeshift sites in Gaza, where over 190 families reside, after an airstrike injured several people and destroyed tents. Essential infrastructure was damaged, including water and sewage systems, and three learning spaces were affected. Humanitarian partners provided aid, but UN Humanitarian Coordinator Tom Fletcher warned that efforts in Gaza are struggling due to lack of civil order and safety concerns for humanitarian convoys, stressing the need for protection of civilians and operations.
