In the latest Taxpayers-Union Curia Poll for 2025, Labour has overtaken National, with National down to 29.6% and Labour up to 30.9%. Other party standings include Greens at 9.5%, ACT at 10.8%, and New Zealand First at 8.1%. National is down to 38 seats in Parliament, while Labour is up to 39 seats, with the centre-right down to 62 seats and the centre-left up to 58 seats. The economy’s state and voters’ perception of the country’s direction are impacting the Government’s popularity, with Finance Minister Nicola Willis’s approach to economic issues being criticized.
