Shoplifting soars in England and Wales by staggering amount
Shoplifting in England and Wales has reached a record high with nearly half a million offences reported last year, according to new Office for National Statistics data. The alarming figures show a 23% increase in shoplifting crimes, with 1,350 incidents occurring daily.
