LA fires death toll rises to 24 as high winds expected

LA crews are racing to halt wildfires ahead of high winds in California, with the Santa Ana winds expected to reach speeds of up to 60mph. Three wildfires are currently burning in Los Angeles, with assistance from crews from eight other states, Canada, and Mexico. Despite progress in containing the fires, officials warn that the death toll is expected to rise as dangerous wind conditions persist.
