Around 200 cars parked along part of the Peak District have prevented gritting from taking place, as crews were unable to get through due to double parking on Rushup Edge and Man Nick near Edale. Derbyshire County Council urged drivers not to exacerbate the issue, stating that the excessive parking is hindering the gritters’ ability to clear the roads amid freezing temperatures and snowfall, leading to road closures in areas including Buxton and Palterton.
