Magic Millions yearling sale record smashed with $3.2m for Sunlight filly a day after last peak

The Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale saw the record broken twice in two days, with a filly selling for $3.2 million after a bidding war involving Japanese trainer Mitsu Nakauchida. The filly, by Home Affairs and Sunlight, was offered by Coolmore Stud and purchased by Nakauchida, who has had success with Australian bloodlines. The sale highlighted the elite offerings from the Hunter Valley, with a total gross of over $205 million in the Book One section of the sale.
