Japan’s Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) has signed an MOU with Madoqua Renewables to develop a green corridor connecting Portugal to Northern Europe, focusing on low-emission shipping solutions and transporting low-carbon fuels. The MOU includes companies from various energy transition sectors like Ports of Sines, Rotterdam, and Duisburg, CIP, ING, Cargill, Norwegian Cruise Line, and others. MOL will facilitate green fuel transportation and promote zero-emission ships, while Madoqua is developing green hydrogen projects in Portugal and a Green Fuels Terminal in Sines for alternative fuels storage and handling.
