German prosecutors have charged three individuals for allegedly supplying Chinese intelligence with information on maritime technology with potential military applications. The suspects, identified as Herwig F., Ina F., and Thomas R., are accused of working for a Chinese intelligence service, with Thomas R. acting as an agent for the MSS in China. The trio allegedly gathered information on innovative technologies that could enhance China’s naval combat capabilities between 2017 and 2024 through their company in Düsseldorf.
