The Border Security Force (BSF) reiterated its commitment to maintaining border dominance along the Indo-Bangladesh boundary and assured that recent differences with the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) would be resolved through flag meetings. Construction of a barbed wire fence along the India-Bangladesh border in West Bengal’s Malda district has peacefully resumed after a temporary halt due to objections from the BGB, with the issue being resolved through discussions and work progressing without further disruptions. The BSF dismissed claims in the Bangladeshi press that the BGB had taken control of Indian land along the International Border (IB) as “baseless and irresponsible.”
