Rolls-Royce expands to build bespoke cars for super-rich

Luxury carmaker Rolls-Royce is expanding its Goodwood factory and global headquarters with a £300 million investment to meet the demand for bespoke models. The company, under BMW ownership since 2003, sold 5,712 cars in 2024, focusing on highly-customized versions for its super-rich clientele. The expansion will create additional space for building bespoke cars and prepare for the transition to all-battery electric vehicles. Despite challenges in the industry, Rolls-Royce remains secure with a growing business and sophisticated commissions, particularly in markets like China and the US.
