'Not an inch': BSF rejects reports of Bangladesh border guards taking control of Indian land

The BSF refuted reports of BGB taking control of Indian land along the International Border as baseless and irresponsible, stating that the area in question is on the Indian side in Ranghat village of Bagda block, North 24 Parganas district, with a well-demarcated IB along the Kodaliya River. The BSF dismissed claims of BGB patrolling the area, emphasizing that both forces continue to perform duties on their respective sides of the river, which serves as the IB, noting the area’s vulnerability to smuggling and infiltration by Bangladeshi nationals.
