The fragile Israel-Hezbollah truce is holding so far, despite violations

A ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah, agreed upon on Nov. 27, has held for over a month despite potential violations and delays in meeting terms. Israel has withdrawn from only two towns in southern Lebanon and continued strikes on alleged Hezbollah bases, while Hezbollah threatens to resume fighting if Israel does not fully withdraw. Despite ongoing accusations, the ceasefire is likely to hold, providing hope for displaced families on both sides, with the U.S., France, and the U.N. overseeing implementation and challenges remaining in the withdrawal process.
