A Metropolitan Police officer, PC Ian Brotherton, admitted to causing the death of moped rider Cristopher de Carvalho Guedes in north London due to careless driving while responding to an emergency call. Brotherton pleaded guilty to causing death by careless driving at the Old Bailey, where he was disqualified from driving and will be sentenced on February 27.
