UK's biggest ever dinosaur footprint site unearthed

The UK’s largest dinosaur trackway site has been discovered in a quarry in Oxfordshire, featuring 200 footprints made by a long-necked sauropod and a smaller meat-eating Megalosaurus 166 million years ago. The excavation revealed five different trackways, showcasing the creatures’ movements through a tropical lagoon environment, with detailed 3D models and photographs capturing the prehistoric crossroads where their paths crossed. The team is working with the quarry operators to decide the future fate of the site, preserving this unique snapshot of dinosaur life for further study.
