Is building new attractions the way forward for Hong Kong’s tourism sector?

Tourism sector leaders in Hong Kong are calling for more infrastructure to host international mega-events in order to upgrade the city into a top regional travel destination. Allan Zeman, chairman of the Lan Kwai Fong Group, suggests that hosting more mega cultural events could attract more visitors and elevate Hong Kong’s tourism status. Zeman also recommends capitalising on the recent panda mania by building a themed park with restaurants, shops, games, and rides to enhance the tourist experience and boost tourism in the city.
