Valencia has appointed Carlos Corberan as head coach on a two-and-a-half year deal after his departure from West Bromwich Albion, where he previously coached. The 41-year-old, who has experience with Leeds United and Huddersfield Town, replaces Ruben Baraja as Valencia’s new coach as the struggling LaLiga club aims to improve their position in the standings under the ownership of Peter Lim amid fan protests. Corberan’s first game in charge will be against Real Madrid on Jan. 3.
