The search for missing teenager Luca Bennett, who disappeared in waters off NSW’s Central Coast on Christmas Eve, has shifted to a recovery effort after he was swept into the water while playing with friends at North Avoca Beach. Despite extensive multi-agency search efforts, including the Brisbane Water Police District, Marine Area Command, and Surf Life Saving NSW, Bennett has not been found. Tributes have been pouring in on social media for the talented young basketball player, as emergency services crews continue to search for him near rocks and in the water on jet skis, while urging anyone with information to contact authorities.
