Trump promises death for ‘rapists, murderers’ after Biden spares death-row inmates

This decision came in response to President Joe Biden’s commutation of the sentences of 37 federal inmates on death row. Trump had previously restarted federal executions during his first term in office, while Biden had put them on hold upon taking office in 2021.
