A Southport rioter, Brian Spencer, was captured on CCTV footage throwing bricks at police during a riot following a vigil for three children killed in a stabbing. Spencer was seen being hit in the head and groin by projectiles while taunting police, before racially abusing a fellow patient at the hospital. He was sentenced to two years and six months in jail for violent disorder during the riots and racially/religiously aggravated harassment at Southport Hospital.
