Two defense tech giants, Palantir and Anduril, are in talks with tech firms like SpaceX and OpenAI to create a consortium to compete for Pentagon contracts, aiming to challenge established defense contractors like Lockheed Martin. The goal is to establish a new generation of defense contractors and provide the government with cutting-edge technology more efficiently. Initial partnerships may be announced in January, following an integration between Palantir’s AI Platform and Anduril’s Lattice software.
