A day after Doval-Wang talks, China highlights broader consensus to improve relations

China stated that the recent talks between National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi resulted in a six-point consensus on the China-India boundary question. Both countries released similar readouts highlighting broader consensus and a positive attitude towards resolving the border issue. The talks were significant as they marked the first structured engagement between the two countries after a four-year freeze in relations due to the military standoff in eastern Ladakh. The focus now is on maintaining peace in border areas and improving China-India relations.
