A 17-year-old Simi Valley teenager is facing almost two dozen felony charges for allegedly using a minor for sex acts and possessing over 600 images of child sexual exploitation, following an FBI search warrant at the juvenile’s home. The Ventura County district attorney’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Unit launched an investigation in August after receiving tips about online distribution of child pornography. The teen is currently held at Ventura County Juvenile Facilities, facing 15 felony counts of using a minor for sex acts, seven felony counts related to child pornography, and two special charges for possessing child sexual abuse material.
