Spanish utility company Iberdrola has agreed to sell a 49% stake in the Windanker offshore wind farm to Japanese utility Kansai Electric Power for €150m. The project, valued at €1.28bn, is located in the German part of the Baltic Sea with an installed capacity of 315MW and is set to be operational by the last quarter of 2026. Iberdrola will retain responsibility for construction management, operation, maintenance, and management services of the wind farm, following a previous deal where Iberdrola acquired an 88% stake in UK power supplier Electricity North West from Kansai Electric Power for $2.7bn.
