FIND, Unitaid support launch of diaTROPIX, Institut Pasteur de Dakar’s new regional diagnostics manufacturer advancing high-quality diagnostics for the continent and beyond

In celebration of its 100th anniversary, Institut Pasteur de Dakar inaugurates the new diaTROPIX diagnostic manufacturing site in Mbao, aiming to improve access to high-quality diagnostics in the region with ISO 13485-certification and WHO quality approval support. FIND and Unitaid supported the expansion to address Africa’s diagnostic needs, particularly for diseases like malaria and HIV, by enhancing regional manufacturing capacity to 75 million units per year. The initiative strengthens health security, prepares for future global crises, and aligns with key global health priorities such as universal health coverage, antimicrobial resistance, and global health security.
