Three climbers from the US and Canada are missing on New Zealand's highest peak

Three mountain climbers from the U.S. and Canada, including certified alpine guides Kurt Blair and Carlos Romero, are missing after failing to return from an ascent of New Zealand’s highest peak, Aoraki. Search efforts were halted due to poor weather conditions, with heavy rain and snow forecasted, and were not expected to resume until Thursday. Aoraki, part of the Southern Alps, is known for its challenging terrain and has seen over 240 deaths since the 20th century.
