Art Cashin, UBS’ director of floor operations at the NYSE and a longtime CNBC commentator, has passed away at the age of 83. Known as “Wall Street’s version of Walter Cronkite,” Cashin was respected by both bulls and bears, liberals and conservatives, with almost no enemies. A legendary drinker and storyteller, he was a founding member of the “Friends of Fermentation” group that met daily after trading hours, enjoying his signature drink of Dewar’s on the rocks.
