At least 40 dead in Gaza, medics say, as Israeli tanks pull back from camp

Israeli military strikes in the Gaza Strip killed at least 40 Palestinians, with many casualties in the Nuseirat refugee camp. Medics recovered 19 bodies in northern Nuseirat and reported an additional 10 killed in Beit Lahiya. Israeli tanks withdrew from some areas but remained active in others, preventing emergency responders from reaching trapped residents.
