Editorial: Even in trying times, we find plenty to be thankful for

This Thanksgiving, let’s be thankful for giving thanks as research has shown that practicing gratitude can help with stress and anxiety. National holiday dedicated to showing appreciation reminds us to seek the good in our fellow Americans, shared experiences, and ourselves, including voters in Los Angeles embracing government reforms, designation of Chumash Heritage National Marine Sanctuary, passage of Proposition 3 for same-sex marriage rights in California, Dodgers winning the World Series, LAUSD banning student cellphone use, Disneyland transitioning to electric vehicles, voter support for Measure A to address homelessness crisis, and approval of Proposition 4 for clean water and conservation projects.
