The militaries of China and India are making “great progress” in implementing the disengagement agreement to end the standoff in eastern Ladakh, according to China’s Defence Ministry. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and his Chinese counterpart Admiral Dong Jun had a positive meeting in Laos last week, where they agreed to promote stable relations between the two countries. The two sides are implementing the settlement reached last month to end the standoff, with both ministers emphasizing the importance of implementing the consensus reached between the top leaders.
