Seven people have died in a landslide caused by heavy rains in Sibolangit, Indonesia, with victims including a driver and passengers on a tourist bus trapped by trees, mud, and rocks on the road from Medan to Berastagi. Over 10 others were injured and taken to hospital, while several vehicles remain stuck between landslide locations, requiring at least two days for evacuation. This incident adds to the toll of 20 deaths from flash floods and landslides earlier in North Sumatra province, highlighting the seasonal risks posed by heavy rains in the region.
