Cop who killed great-grandmother to fight being jailed

Police officer Senior Constable Kristian James Samuel White was found guilty of manslaughter for unlawfully killing aged-care resident Clare Nowland with a Taser at Yallambee Lodge. White shot the great-grandmother in the torso after saying “nah, bugger it,” causing her to fall and hit her head, resulting in her death a week later. Despite the guilty verdict, White’s sentencing was postponed to gather evidence on his potential conditions in prison as a police officer.
