The board, chaired by attorney Tom Jaconetty and including aldermen Ramonde Williams and Anthony Smith, is being challenged for bias due to their political ties to Jones. Figgs also faces a candidacy challenge from city auditor Alyssia Benford, with a ruling from Judge Maureen Ward Kirby pending on the board’s makeup for the next meeting on Dec. 6.

Fatal migrant gang stabbing leaves one teen dead
