The Simpsons Marks 35th Anniversary Special With A Very Surprising British Guest Star

In the upcoming two-part Christmas special of The Simpsons titled O C’Mon All Ye Faithful, guest star Derren Brown voices himself in a storyline where Homer believes he is Santa Claus after being hypnotized. The special marks 35 years since the very first episode of The Simpsons aired, with Pamela Hayden’s final outing as Milhouse Van Houten following her retirement from the show. Originally launching with the Christmas special Simpsons Roasting On An Open Fire in 1989, the long-running animated sitcom has come a long way since its beginnings as cartoon shorts on The Tracey Ullman Show.
