Lebanon reported that Israeli air strikes killed over 55 people in central Beirut, with a strike in the Basta neighborhood causing at least 20 deaths. The attacks led to widespread destruction, including a residential building collapsing and numerous casualties. Additionally, Hamas announced that a hostage in Gaza had been killed in an Israeli attack, with another hostage critically injured, although the Israeli military stated they were unable to confirm the incident.
