Maharashtra polls: Mixed bag for MVA, Mahayuti in Muslim-dominated seats

In Mumbai, 11 seats with over 35% Muslim voters saw Maha Vikas Aghadi winning 6 seats and BJP-led Mahayuti alliance winning 4 seats, with AIMIM winning 1 seat. Key victories included Abu Asim Azmi of SP winning Mankhurd-Shivaji Nagar, Rais Kasam Shaikh of SP winning Bhiwandi East, and Amin Patel of Congress winning Mumba Devi. Other wins included Mahesh Choughule of BJP winning Bhiwandi West, Sajid Pathan of Congress winning Akola West, and Sanjay Shirsat of Shiv Sena winning Aurangabad West.
