The fourth edition of the Pan-India Coastal Defence Exercise Sea Vigil 2024 concluded successfully on November 21, spanning two phases and involving over 21 agencies across six ministries. The exercise showcased India’s commitment to maritime security, with extensive deployment of assets and air sorties along the country’s coastline. The Coastal Defence and Security Readiness Evaluation phase included an audit of over 950 critical coastal locations, with officials from the National Security Council Secretariat participating for the first time in certain activities.
