Florida man accused of posing as Elon Musk, defrauding elderly woman of $250K

Jeffrey Arthur Moynihan Jr. of Florida was arrested for impersonating Elon Musk and scamming an elderly woman out of at least $250,000. Claiming to be Musk, he befriended the victim on Facebook, promising a $55 million return on investment and convincing her to transfer money to his accounts. Moynihan was charged with grand theft and claimed the money was for an online girlfriend, while authorities continue to investigate the case.
