The UAE Cybersecurity Council has launched “The National Campaign for Cybersecurity”, an awareness campaign targeting government and private institutions, as well as all members of society. The goal is to enhance public awareness of the threats that arise from an open cyberspace and the various ways to protect against cyberattacks.

This campaign emphasizes the importance of caution and vigilance to avoid falling victim to phishing and fraud attacks, which use technology to deceive digital users into compromising their personal information and data.

The National Campaign for Cybersecurity is a practical implementation of the directives of the UAE’s wise leadership, reflecting the country’s belief in the importance of information and data security amidst significant digital developments. The campaign aims to provide a safe digital environment for citizens and residents, raising awareness of the threats of an open cyberspace and ways to defend against them.

This weekly campaign, lasting a year, covers various aspects of cybersecurity, including guidance on identifying suspicious emails, creating strong passwords, updating programs and applications, and using secure communication applications over the Internet.

Through awareness campaigns and ongoing communication with the public, the Cybersecurity Council aims to enhance community understanding of electronic threats and how to address them. The goal is to equip individuals with knowledge and tools to detect and protect against attacks, promoting safe behavior through best practices and preventive measures.

The National Campaign for Cybersecurity aims to cultivate a culture of cybersecurity across all sectors of society and support safe digital transformation in the country. It seeks to raise awareness of electronic attack threats, provide best practices for protection, and ensure a secure digital environment for all.

Dr. Mohammed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Chairman of the UAE Cyber Security Council, highlighted the importance of the campaign in addressing increasing cyber threats and their impact on daily life. He emphasized the government’s commitment to providing a safe digital environment for all residents.

Dr. Al Kuwaiti stressed the importance of awareness and vigilance in combating cyber threats, calling on individuals and institutions to actively engage with the campaign to create a safer cyberspace for all.

The National Campaign for Cybersecurity aligns with the “We The UAE 2031” vision, aiming to build a connected and efficient society capable of keeping up with global developments. It seeks to enhance participation in building a safe digital environment, contributing to a prosperous future as envisioned in “We The UAE 2031”.

Dr. Al Kuwaiti also emphasized the campaign’s global outreach, aiming to share experiences and best practices with the world. This highlights the importance of international cooperation in cybersecurity and the exchange of information and expertise to ensure a secure digital environment for all.

The campaign includes various awareness content on the UAE Cybersecurity Council’s social media platforms, along with coverage of activities such as seminars, workshops, and exhibitions. It also provides security warnings and updates to enhance the cybersecurity of the UAE.
