MHA clears all-women CISF battalion

The Ministry of Home Affairs has approved the establishment of the first all-women battalion of CISF to enhance women’s role in central forces. Currently, women make up over 7% of the CISF, with the new ‘Mahila Battalion’ aimed at encouraging more women to join and serve the nation. The CISF headquarters is preparing for recruitment, training, and selecting locations for the new battalion, giving women in CISF a new identity.
