Disney CEO accidentally reveals how many Disney+ subscribers are on the ad-supported tier

During Disney’s Q4 2024 earnings report, CEO Bob Iger accidentally disclosed that 37% of US Disney+ users are on the ad-supported tier, totaling around 20.7 million subscribers. This is slightly higher than the global average of 30%. Despite the unintentional reveal, Disney’s revenue increased by 6% year-on-year to $22.57 billion, driven by successful movie releases and a rise in streaming subscriptions.
