Israeli air campaigns and ground troop deployments have resulted in over 40 deaths in Lebanon, while intensified strikes in Damascus have killed 20, including Palestinian Islamic Jihad militants. The conflict has significantly impacted Lebanon’s economy, with GDP growth dropping by at least 6.6 percent and an estimated $8.5 billion in damage and losses expected to increase even further.
