Two individuals, Rajan Naidu and Niamh Lynch, have been charged with damaging Stonehenge by spraying it with orange powder during a Just Stop Oil protest in June. They are facing charges of destroying a protected monument and causing a public nuisance, and will appear at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on 13 December. Following the incident, English Heritage quickly removed the powder from the stones, and the Crown Prosecution Service has emphasized the importance of fair trial proceedings for the accused.
