Denmark’s royal court announced the phasing out of a labeling system dating back to the 1800s that allows companies to use the Danish crown on their products by Dec. 31, 2029. The system, which grants titles like “Holder of the Royal Warrant,” was originally given to companies supplying goods or services to the royals but is now considered outdated. Queen Margrethe II voluntarily relinquished the throne last January, making her son, King Frederik, the new monarch, with his wife becoming Queen Mary and their son, Christian, the crown prince and heir to the throne.
