The U.S. Commerce Department has agreed to provide up to $18.2 million in subsidy funding to Akash Systems for a cleanroom space in West Oakland, California, to manufacture advanced semiconductors using Diamond Cooling technology. The funding, combined with investments from Akash and other sources, will support a $121 million project. Akash’s CEO Felix Ejeckam highlighted the importance of the subsidy in advancing their semiconductor technology.
