The Centre has dispatched 20 additional companies, totaling around 2,000 personnel, to Manipur due to recent attacks and law and order issues in the state. The Ministry of Home Affairs ordered the immediate deployment of these units, including 15 from CRPF and five from BSF, following a gunfight that resulted in the deaths of 10 suspected militants. These additional CAPF units will be available to the Manipur government until November 30, with the possibility of extension, in response to ongoing tensions in the region.
