Arcane’s creators planned for three Piltover council members to die in season 2 episode 1 as a result of Jinx’s attack, which was intended to showcase Mel’s abilities and force Jayce’s hand. Despite no discussions about killing off other council members, the decision to kill off Cassandra Kiramman, Irius Bolbok, and Torman Hoskel was deliberate and integral to the storyline. The show’s creators also revealed that Arcane was never planned to run for five seasons, hinting at the direction of future episodes and character arcs.
