Ian Botham rescued from croc-infested river by Merv Hughes

During a fishing expedition in the Northern Territory, former England cricketer Ian Botham found himself in danger of crocodiles after slipping into the Moyle River. His old rival, Aussie cricketer Merv Hughes, along with others, quickly rescued him from the water, leaving Botham with severe bruising but grateful for being spared from potential harm. Botham later expressed his thanks on Instagram, jokingly referring to himself as “Crocodile Beefy” and praising his rescuers for their swift action in saving him from the lurking crocs and bull sharks.
